No Direction Home

I am balls to the walls excited for Martin Scorses's new film on Bob Dylan, No Direction Home. It apparently contains all kinds of new footage and takes a very fresh and accurate look at the life of a man who is, in my opinion, one of the most fascinating Americans of all time. Casual Dylan fans, moderately large fans (like me) and die-hard, archivist crazies will hopefully all blown away by Scorsese's treatment of their favorite folkie-turned-rocker-turned-underwear-shill. I certainly expect to be.

If you like Dylan, try this occasionally updated blog, which seems to come up with some consistently great material. Also, if you're into Scorsese and/ or the best music of the 1970s (including our friend Mr. Zimmerman) and you haven't seen The Last Waltz, kick yourself, rub your new bruise, and go rent/ buy it immediately. It's awesome. The double album soundtrack has more songs but a shockingly small amount of video footage.

Right. Dylan. Check it.
